Biography
Corporal Ivy Chambers served with the WAAF Y Service, intercepting German radio communications from listening stations across the south of England. The raw intercepts she and her colleagues gathered were sent to Bletchley Park for decryption. Ivy worked in conditions of extreme secrecy, never knowing the full significance of her work until decades later. She lived in Brighton after the war.
