Biography
Subedar Harinder Singh served with the 4th Indian Division, one of the most decorated formations of the British Indian Army. He fought in the North African campaign at El Alamein, the Italian campaign at Monte Cassino, and later in Burma. After Indian independence he moved to London in 1955, where he became a respected community elder in Southall.
