Biography
Hannah Goldstein was recruited to Bletchley Park in 1941, working in Hut 8 on naval Enigma traffic. A mathematics graduate from the University of Leeds, her analytical skills were invaluable in the codebreaking effort. Like all Bletchley workers, she signed the Official Secrets Act and did not speak of her wartime work for decades. Her family only learned of her extraordinary contribution after the official history of Bletchley Park was published. She returned to Leeds after the war and taught mathematics at a grammar school for over thirty years.
