Biography
Petty Officer Hamish Alexander Campbell served aboard HMS Belfast from 1942 to 1945. He participated in the Arctic Convoys to Murmansk, the sinking of the Scharnhorst at the Battle of the North Cape in December 1943, and the D-Day bombardment of Gold Beach in June 1944. He returned to Glasgow after the war and worked in the Clyde shipyards.
