Biography
Grigory Ivanovich Petrov was drafted into the Red Army in 1941. He fought at Stalingrad as part of the 45th Guards Rifle Division, where he distinguished himself in close-quarters combat. After the war, he worked as a schoolteacher in Leningrad before emigrating to London in 1992 with his family.

Григорий Иванович Петров был призван в Красную Армию в 1941 году. Он сражался под Сталинградом в составе 45-й гвардейской стрелковой дивизии, где отличился в ближнем бою. После войны работал учителем в Ленинграде, а в 1992 году эмигрировал в Лондон с семьёй.
