Biography
Second Officer Grace Lillian Foster served with the WRNS as a plotting officer in the Admiralty's operations room in London, tracking U-boat movements across the Atlantic. She was one of the women who helped coordinate the convoy system that kept Britain supplied. She was killed during a V-1 attack on London in July 1944 while off duty.
