Biography

The brother of my great-grandfather was born in the village of Volodarka, Volodarsky District, Kyiv Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on February 5, 1916, and was the youngest of four siblings. He enlisted in the army on September 10, 1937, at the age of 21, in the Frunzensky District, Moscow Oblast, and was assigned to the 595th Separate Communications Battalion. He rose to the rank of lieutenant and served as a political officer until 1941. From 1941 to 1945, he served in the 280th Rifle Regiment of the NKVD Internal Troops. He was wounded and hospitalized until March 31, 1945. Then it was part of the 106th Rifle Division, 297th Separate Sapper Battalion until the end of military service on 01/02/1946.

Мой двоюродный прадедушка родился в Украинской ССР, Киевская область, Володарский район, село Володарка 05/02/1916 года и был самым младшим из 4 братьев и сестер. В армию ушел 10.09.1937 г. в возрасте 21 года в Московской области, г. Москва, Фрунзенский район и был распределен в 595-й отдельный батальон связи. Дослужился до звания лейтенанта и был политработником до 1941 года. С 1941 по 1945 год входил в состав 280-й стрелковый полк внутренних войск НКВД. Был ранен и находился в госпитале до 31/03/1945 года. Затем был в составе 106-я стрелковая дивизия, 297-й отдельный саперный батальон до окончания военной службы 01/02/1946 года.
