Biography
Havildar George Singh served with the 14th Punjab Regiment in Burma. Born in Birmingham to a Punjabi family, he volunteered in 1940 and fought in the Arakan and at Imphal. After the war he settled back in Birmingham and became active in the local Sikh community.

Хавилдар Джордж Сингх служил в 14-м Пенджабском полку в Бирме. Родился в Бирмингеме в пенджабской семье, добровольно пошёл на фронт в 1940 году и сражался в Аракане и при Импхале. После войны вернулся в Бирмингем и стал активным членом местной сикхской общины.
