Georgy Kozlov

Georgy Kozlov was born in Riga, Latvia and served in the British Merchant Navy during the war, sailing from Southampton on Atlantic and Arctic convoys. He survived two torpedoings and the sinking of his ship in convoy PQ-18. After the war he settled in Southampton and married a local woman. He always attended Victory Day events at the cenotaph and was a founding member of the local Russian community association.
