Biography
Able Seaman George Edward Harrison served in the Merchant Navy on the dangerous Atlantic and Arctic convoy routes. Based out of Liverpool, he made multiple crossings to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Murmansk carrying vital war supplies. He was lost at sea when his ship MV Empire Heritage was torpedoed by a U-boat in the North Atlantic in September 1943. His body was never recovered.
