Biography
Senior Sergeant Galina Chistyakova served as a combat medic with the 73rd Guards Rifle Division. During the Battle of Stalingrad, she personally dragged over 100 wounded soldiers from the battlefield to safety, often under direct enemy fire. After Stalingrad, she continued serving through the liberation of Ukraine and Poland. She was wounded three times but refused permanent evacuation each time. A Liverpool community group of Russian families registered her story.

Старший сержант Галина Чистякова — боевой санитар 73-й гвардейской стрелковой дивизии. В Сталинградской битве вынесла более 100 раненых с поля боя под огнём. Трижды ранена, но каждый раз возвращалась в строй.
