Biography
Chief Petty Officer Frank Morrison served aboard HMS Southampton and later on convoy escort duty in the Atlantic. He survived the sinking of his vessel during a U-boat attack off the Azores in 1942 and was rescued after 18 hours in the water. He continued to serve on Atlantic convoys until the end of the war. After demobilisation he worked at the Southampton Docks and became an active voice in the Merchant Navy and Royal Navy veterans' communities.

Старший старшина Фрэнк Моррисон служил на борту HMS Southampton, а затем на конвойной службе в Атлантике. Он выжил при потоплении своего судна во время атаки подводной лодки у Азорских островов в 1942 году и был спасён после 18 часов в воде. Продолжил службу на атлантических конвоях до конца войны. После демобилизации работал в доках Саутгемптона и стал активным участником ветеранских сообществ Торгового и Королевского флота.
