Biography
Frank Mitchell served with the 2nd Battalion, Sherwood Foresters in the Burma campaign. He fought in the Arakan offensive and the Battle of the Admin Box in February 1944, where his unit held out against Japanese encirclement for 18 days. He later advanced on Rangoon. Returned to Nottingham and worked as a postman.
