Biography
Frank Bottrill from West Bridgford was a rear gunner with No. 617 Squadron — the famous Dam Busters. He flew on the legendary night raid of 16-17 May 1943 against the Ruhr dams, aboard Lancaster AJ-K piloted by Pilot Officer Vernon Byers. Their aircraft was shot down over the Waddenzee before reaching the target. Frank and his entire crew were lost. He was 22 years old.

Фрэнк Боттрилл из Вест-Бриджфорда был хвостовым стрелком в знаменитой 617-й эскадрилье «Разрушители плотин». Он летел в легендарном ночном налёте на дамбы Рура 16-17 мая 1943 года. Его самолёт был сбит. Фрэнку было 22 года.
