Biography
Staff Nurse Florence Alice Greenwood served with the QARNNS aboard hospital ships in the Mediterranean. She nursed casualties from the Sicily and Anzio landings, working in cramped, dangerous conditions as the ships were frequently attacked by German aircraft. She returned to Edinburgh after the war and worked at the Royal Infirmary until retirement.
