Biography
Section Officer Flora Mackenzie served with the Women's Auxiliary Air Force at RAF Turnhouse near Edinburgh. She worked in the operations room during the Battle of Britain, tracking incoming enemy aircraft and coordinating fighter responses. After the war she became a teacher in Leith.
