Biography

Dr Ernst Müller fled Nazi Germany in 1934 as a Jewish physicist and found refuge at Cambridge University. When war broke out, he volunteered his expertise for the war effort and was recruited to work on radar development at the Telecommunications Research Establishment. His contributions to the improvement of centimetric radar helped give the RAF a decisive advantage in the Battle of the Atlantic and over the skies of Germany. After the war he became a professor at Cambridge, his brilliant scientific mind having found new purpose in defending the country that gave him shelter.

Доктор Эрнст Мюллер бежал из нацистской Германии в 1934 году как еврейский физик и нашёл убежище в Кембриджском университете. Во время войны работал над разработкой радаров, что помогло ВВС получить решающее преимущество. После войны стал профессором в Кембридже.
