Biography
Ernest Shaw from Bulwell, Nottingham enlisted with the Sherwood Foresters and saw action in the Italian campaign. He was killed during the advance on the Gothic Line in September 1944. His platoon was attempting to cross the River Marecchia under heavy fire when he was struck. He is buried at Coriano Ridge War Cemetery.

Эрнест Шоу из Булвелла, Ноттингем, записался в Шервудских лесничих и участвовал в Итальянской кампании. Он погиб при наступлении на Готическую линию в сентябре 1944 года при переправе через реку Мареккья под сильным огнём. Похоронен на военном кладбище Кориано-Ридж.
