Biography
Pilot Officer Eric Albert Woodward from Cambridge flew Hurricane fighters with 85 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. He shot down two enemy aircraft and damaged a third before his own Hurricane was hit during combat over Kent on 15 September 1940 — Battle of Britain Day. He bailed out but his parachute failed to open. He was 25 years old.

Лётчик-офицер Эрик Альберт Вудворд из Кембриджа летал на истребителях Hurricane в 85-й эскадрилье во время Битвы за Британию. Сбил два самолёта противника. Погиб 15 сентября 1940 года — в День Битвы за Британию.
