Biography
Edith Shaw worked at the Royal Ordnance Factory in Nottingham filling shells and manufacturing munitions. At just 17 she began dangerous work handling explosives. She worked long shifts throughout the war and was proud of her contribution to the war effort, attending veterans' events until her 90s.
