Biography
Leading Wren Dorothy Fletcher served at the Western Approaches Command headquarters in Liverpool, plotting positions of Allied convoys and U-boats on the operations room map. Her work helped naval commanders make critical convoy routing decisions. She remained in Liverpool after the war and volunteered at the Western Approaches museum until her late eighties.
