Biography
Dorothy Fairfax served as a Section Officer in the WAAF, working at RAF Benson on photographic intelligence. A graduate of Lady Margaret Hall, she analysed aerial reconnaissance photographs that informed bombing strategy over Germany and helped plan the D-Day landings. Her meticulous work identifying camouflaged factories and V-weapon launch sites contributed directly to the strategic air campaign. She was mentioned in despatches for her exceptional analytical contributions.
