Biography
Porucznik (Flying Officer) Czeslav Novak was a Polish pilot who flew with the legendary 303 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. He claimed three confirmed kills and two probables during the intense summer of 1940. Later he transferred to Bomber Command and flew Lancaster bombers over Germany. After the war he settled in Brighton where he ran a small hotel and became a well-known figure in the local Polish community.

Поручик (лётный офицер) Чеслав Новак был польским пилотом, летавшим в составе легендарной 303-й эскадрильи во время Битвы за Британию. Он записал на свой счёт три подтверждённых сбития и два вероятных в жаркое лето 1940 года. Позже перевёлся в Бомбардировочное командование и летал на бомбардировщиках «Ланкастер» над Германией. После войны поселился в Брайтоне, где управлял небольшим отелем и стал известной фигурой в местной польской общине.
