Biography
Sapper Charlie Wood served with the Royal Engineers clearing mines and booby traps during the advance through France and Germany. Just 19 when he landed in Normandy, he was one of the youngest combat engineers. The meticulous and deadly work of clearing mines saved countless lives but cost many sappers their own.

Ему было всего 19, когда он высадился в Нормандии — один из самых молодых боевых инженеров.
