Biography

Chief Wren Betty Robinson served with the WRNS at Bletchley Park, working in Hut 8 alongside Alan Turing on breaking the German Naval Enigma. Her section's work was crucial to the Battle of the Atlantic, helping to route convoys away from U-boat wolf packs. Like all Bletchley workers, she kept her wartime role secret for decades. Betty lived in Liverpool after the war.
