Biography
Warrant Officer Arthur Sykes from Headingley, Leeds was a wireless operator and air gunner with No. 78 Squadron. He completed 22 bombing missions over Germany before his Halifax was shot down over the Ruhr in May 1943. He is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
