Biography
Trooper Arthur Davies served with the 7th Armoured Division — the "Desert Rats" — from El Alamein through Normandy into Germany. A Sherman tank gunner, he witnessed the liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in April 1945. He settled in Southampton.
