Biography
Arthur Banks served aboard HMS Belfast during the Arctic convoys, delivering vital supplies to the Soviet Union via the dangerous Murmansk route. He participated in the Battle of North Cape in December 1943, which saw the sinking of the German battleship Scharnhorst. After the war, he settled in Bermondsey, South London, where he remained active in veterans' associations until his death in 1998.

Артур Бэнкс служил на борту HMS Belfast во время арктических конвоев, доставлявших жизненно важные грузы в Советский Союз через опасный мурманский маршрут.
