Biography

Major Angus Robert MacLeod led a company of the 51st Highland Division during the Normandy landings on D-Day. He had previously served in the division during the disastrous 1940 campaign in France, narrowly escaping capture at St Valery. He was killed leading his men during Operation Epsom in late June 1944 near Caen.
