Biography
Guards Lieutenant Andrei Zhukov commanded a T-34 tank platoon with the 2nd Guards Tank Army from the Vistula-Oder Offensive through to the Battle of Berlin. His platoon was among the first Soviet armour to reach the Tiergarten in central Berlin. Andrei was wounded in the final days of fighting and spent months in hospital. He settled in Brighton in the 1970s, working as a mechanic.

Гвардии лейтенант Андрей Жуков командовал взводом танков Т-34 во 2-й гвардейской танковой армии. Его взвод одним из первых достиг Тиргартена в Берлине. Ранен в последние дни боёв. Поселился в Брайтоне.
