Biography
Private Alexei Volkov was a tank driver in the 1st Guards Tank Army who fought at Kursk — the largest tank battle in history. His T-34 was knocked out at Prokhorovka but he escaped and was assigned a new tank within days. He fought through Ukraine, Poland, and into Berlin. Seriously wounded in the Berlin street fighting, he later moved to Nottingham.

Рядовой Алексей Волков — механик-водитель танка 1-й гвардейской танковой армии. Сражался в Курской битве под Прохоровкой. Прошёл до Берлина. Позже переехал в Ноттингем.
