Biography
Agnes McBride worked as a riveter at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast throughout the war. The yard — famous for building the Titanic — was converted to military production, turning out aircraft carriers, corvettes, and landing craft. Agnes survived the devastating Belfast Blitz of April 1941, when German bombers targeted the shipyard and surrounding areas, killing over 900 people. She continued working through the destruction and helped rebuild production capacity.

Агнес Макбрайд работала клепальщицей на верфи «Харланд энд Вольф» в Белфасте на протяжении всей войны. Верфь, знаменитая постройкой «Титаника», была переведена на военное производство, выпуская авианосцы, корветы и десантные суда. Агнес пережила разрушительную бомбардировку Белфаста в апреле 1941 года, когда немецкие бомбардировщики атаковали верфь, убив более 900 человек. Она продолжала работать и помогала восстанавливать производство.
