The comprehensive archive of Soviet WWII military burials across the United Kingdom is now available on moypolk.uk, featuring research by Roman Firsov covering 18 confirmed burials across 10 cemeteries.
We are pleased to announce that the Historical Documents section of moypolk.uk is now live. This digital archive contains the results of years of meticulous research by Roman Firsov, historian and independent researcher based in London.
The archive includes comprehensive records of 18 Soviet servicemen and civilians buried in British cemeteries during and after the Second World War. The data has been compiled from multiple authoritative sources including ЦАМО (Central Archive of the Ministry of Defence of Russia), ГАРФ (State Archive of the Russian Federation), the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), and on-site cemetery documentation.
The burial sites span 10 cemeteries across England: Aldershot, Leeds, Tidworth, Hartlepool, Liverpool (Kirkdale and Anfield), Shaftesbury, Chester, Huddersfield, and Harrogate.
Each burial record includes biographical details, military service information, circumstances of death, and photographic documentation of the gravesites. All records have been cross-referenced with official CWGC burial certificates.
We invite researchers, family members, and anyone interested in Soviet-British WWII history to explore this unique collection. The archive is available in both English and Russian.
